About Ripdex

Ripdex is built by Appalex Ltd., a small app studio in Budapest, Hungary. We're collectors ourselves, and we wanted a scanner that keeps up with a binder — so we built one. Ripdex identifies cards in under a second, tracks live market prices for the entire international Pokémon TCG catalog — and the app covers the Japanese catalog too, and keeps your collection's value at your fingertips.

Where the Prices Come From

Every price on this site is a TCGplayer market price for a raw, near-mint copy, tracked per printing variant (normal, holofoil, reverse holofoil). Our pipeline pulls the full market snapshot once a day, currently covering 20,444 international cards across 174 sets — and we archive every daily snapshot, which is what powers the 90-day price history chart on every card page and the daily price movers. Card catalog data and card images come from the Pokemon TCG API (pokemontcg.io). Prices were last refreshed July 2026.

What We Don't Do

We don't sell cards, we don't take a cut of anything you buy or sell, and we don't invent numbers: if a data point isn't in our feed — graded (PSA) sale prices, for example — we say so instead of guessing. Where fees or figures appear in our guides, they carry an "as of" date and a pointer to the primary source.

Ripdex is built and operated by Appalex Ltd., a small app studio registered in Budapest, Hungary (company reg. 01-09-433441).
