What Counts as an Alt Art Card?

"Alt art" (alternate art) refers to a second, special-artwork printing of a card, numbered beyond the printed set total. In the Sword & Shield era they appeared as unlabeled secret rares — the Umbreon VMAX #215/203 ("Moonbreon") and Rayquaza VMAX #218/203 from Evolving Skies are the icons. From Scarlet & Violet onward they carry explicit rarities: Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare — our catalog tracks 714 of them, all with live prices.
